CSW Speaks at AWA Shrink Sleeve Label Conference

CSW Technical Director Marek Skrzynski was invited by Alexander Watson Associated (AWA) to speak at their 2017 workshop on shrink sleeve label technology. This workshop includes presentations about software solutions, ink, substrates, printing processes, converting and design considerations. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in live demonstrations of printing and finishing in a pressroom environment at a Flint Group facility and at Accraply in Minneapolis.
 

 
Skrzynski used CSW’s experience as a prepress and prototype provider to cover design challenges that are unique to shrink sleeve label production – including graphic distortion, cross-matching and design watch-outs. He also discussed how designers and label manufacturers can solve those challenges – through labor-intensive manual calculations, or by partnering with a prepress provider who can identify and compensate for troublesome areas early on.
