It’s true. We talked about some of flexo’s dirty laundry in public: the difficulties of getting whiter whites and brighter colors when printing on transparent substrates.

At the PAC Symposium Packaging Innovators Competition in Toronto last week, CSW presented WhiteFX™ Ink Transfer Solution as a way for printers and brand owners to solve this challenge.

Almost 180 packaging professionals and CPG industry leaders enjoyed a demonstration that reviewed packaging currently in-market against WhiteFX™ print samples that showcase better ink laydown, reduced mottle/pinholing, and improved color vibrancy.

Attendees voted in real time to determine the three most impactful packaging innovations out of a list of seven finalists, and CSW’s WhiteFX™ was recognized as one of the winners.

Along with submissions from other finalists, CSW’s innovation will be on display at PACKEX Montreal in November 2014, PACKEX Toronto in June 2015, and will be entered into the PAC Leadership Awards Competition for 2015.
